Bike-A-Palooza in Mansfield is Saturday

The Mansfield Division of Police would like to remind the public to attend the 2017 “Bike-A-Palooza” community event at North Lake Park from 9am-2pm on Saturday May 20th, 2017.

This is a family oriented event which is the result of numerous community agencies coming together to help effect positive change and interaction among community partners. There will be a bicycle safety rodeo, bike raffle, bike inspections, small bike repairs, food, and family entertainment as well as a basketball clinic with Coach Joe Pratts.

The Mansfield Division of Police Explorer Post will be assisting with the event. Attendees are encouraged to participate in a bike ride with Mansfield Police Officers on the bike trail which will be completed at the end of the event. The Mansfield Division of Police secured a grant to buy bicycle helmets which will be handed out to youth attending the event in an effort to help promote bicycle safety in our community.

Those community partners who were instrumental in making this event possible include the North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC), Richland Moves, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #32, City of Mansfield, Richland County Prosecutors Office, Fraternal Order of Police Associates #70, WeAct, Linden Road Presbyterian Church, Lexington Moose Lodge #2511, Mansfield Police Activities League, Richland Outreach Center, and the local branch of the NAACP. Without their support and commitment, this event would not have been possible.

Please join these community partners for a fun filled afternoon in our community!
